What Nonna Rosa Started, We Keep Going

Anthony Russo grew up eating his grandmother's pasta. Nonna Rosa Ferrante made everything by hand in her Naples kitchen — same table every Sunday, same recipes going back to 1962. When he opened this place in 2018, he wasn't chasing a trend. He was trying to recreate a feeling.

Eight years later, that's still the job. Pasta goes into the pot the morning it gets made. San Marzano tomatoes come from the same importer since day one. The wood-fired oven in the corner? Anthony and his cousin built it over three weekends in 2019.

Maria runs the front of the house. She picked every bottle on the wine list personally. She'll remember your name by your second visit.

They Said It Better Than We Could

★★★★★
"The pappardelle al cinghiale is the best pasta I've had outside of Italy. Anthony came out to talk about the boar and where it comes from. You don't get that at a chain."

"Maria remembered us from our first visit six months earlier. That doesn't happen. The back room for our anniversary dinner was absolutely perfect."

"BYOB Tuesdays are a game changer. We brought a Barolo we'd been saving and the kitchen paired every course around it without us even asking."

This Week on the Board

Chef Luis and Anthony write the specials board every Thursday morning based on what's best at the market. These change week to week.

Chef's Special

Pappardelle al Cinghiale

Wild boar ragù from the Hill Country, slow-braised six hours with rosemary and Chianti. Anthony's grandmother made this for special occasions.

Chef Luis Special

Branzino al Forno

Whole roasted sea bass from the Gulf, stuffed with lemon, fennel fronds, and Sicilian olives. Simple. Exactly right.

Wine Pairing

Aglianico del Vulture

Maria found this bottle from a small producer in Basilicata. Pairs perfectly with the boar. Fourteen dollars a glass, forty-two the bottle.
