Hardwood Floor Installation in Tampa — Done by People Who Know Wood
Solid and engineered hardwood for Tampa homes. We carry 40+ species. Marco personally supervises installation start to finish.
Real Wood Floors That Last a Lifetime — If You Install Them Right
Hardwood is the only flooring material you can sand down and refinish. A properly installed set of red oak floors in a 1970s South Tampa bungalow can look brand new after refinishing — for maybe the third or fourth time. That's why the resale value bump from hardwood is real. Buyers recognize it when they walk in.
The installation itself is more involved than most people realize. Subfloor condition matters enormously — squeaky subfloor means squeaky hardwood. Moisture is the other factor. Tampa's humidity means wood needs to acclimate before going down, and sometimes the subfloor needs a moisture barrier. Marco checks all of this at the estimate. He's seen what happens when you skip those steps.
We install solid hardwood (nailed or stapled to wood subfloors), engineered hardwood (glued or floated, works on concrete), and pre-finished boards in every species from standard red oak to hickory, maple, Brazilian cherry, and everything in between. Our Brandon showroom has samples from about 40 species in multiple stain colors so you can see them in natural light before committing.
What a Hardwood Installation Actually Involves
Subfloor Inspection
Marco checks moisture levels, flatness, and structural integrity. Any soft spots, squeaks, or height variations get addressed before the first board goes down.
Acclimation
Wood delivered to your home 3-5 days early to adjust to your indoor humidity. Skip this and you get gaps or buckling within a year. We don't skip it.
Installation
Nail-down for wood subfloors, glue-down or float for concrete. Expansion gaps at all walls. Transitions measured and cut on-site for exact fit.
Finishing & Trim
Baseboards reinstalled or replaced. Transition strips, thresholds, and reducers cut and installed. Final walkthrough with Marco before we call it done.
